As the activities leading to the 2019 general election in Nigeria gather momentum, a lot of politicians have been coming up with their aspirations and telling the electorates what they are going to do differently if elected. Across the country, it’s been political consultations all the way in different political parties.
With the not-too-young-to-run (NTYTR) bill signed into law by President Muhammadu Buhari recently, a step which was received with loud ovation and applause, youths in the country have been making their intention of taking over the mantle of leadership known.
One of such young and vibrant youths is Adewale Muhmeen Akewusola, a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Wale was born into the family of Akewusola of the Alalukuran compund, Posukoh quarters, Badagry Lagos 37 years ago.
He is 100% Lagosian, apart from his Badagry root, he’s also related to Sadiq/Bakare family , a descendant of Eletu-Odibo Chieftaincy family Gbadesere 1 lineage in Isale Eko, Lagos.
Before considering going fully into politics, Wale, who obviously knows the importance of education ensured that he acquired enough knowledge right from the elementary to the tertiary stage in order to prepare himself for the task ahead. He started at Papa-Ajao primary school, Mushin Lagos where he obtained his first leaving school certificate, Ire-Akari grammar school, Okota, Isolo Lagos state where he obtained his Junior School Certificate. He later attended Government high school, Adeta, Ilorin, kwara state where he obtained his Senior school certificate.
He had his Ordinary National Ddiploma (OND) certificate in Electrical/Electronics Engineering from Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin before proceeding to Lagos State University, Ojo where he bagged Bsc in Business Administration.
According to the young and energetic man, who aspires to represent Badagry constituency 1, Lagos state House of Assembly in 2019, “My vision is to be an empathetic and impactful leader, committed to representing the interest of my constituency by delivering value added projects, sponsor bills on community growth, women and youth empowerment programs in Lagos state.”
“My mission is to create and lead a dream team where every Badagrians will be able to express themselves as a product of positive change in our society, socially, ethically, and aesthetically.” He added.
